Microsoft have officially now pulled out of the HD DVD world. Making a statement on the Gamerscore blog that the HD DVD drive will not me manufactured anymore. HD DVD is now just a sweet memory, one that 10 years from now we’ll all look back and laugh at. Not that HD DVD was a bad format because in my opinion it was/is better than Blu-ray, but will laugh for the short life span it had. Shame too, oh well I at least have Constantine and Superman in HD; that’s a personal win for me! The world of Blu-ray will come into my living room with the heralding of Hellboy 2 on Blu-ray, that’s all I care about. Official statement and fond farewell after the jump.
