You know like the Falcon motherboard which is now on shelves updated the original Xbox 360 design with a 65nm CPU, apparently the new upcoming version called the Jasper revision should be able to take the GPU to 65nm as well, but then we all new that anyway.
The latest news is that all of the ghastly RRoD 360 consoles that are sitting their in warehouse doing absolutely nothing are apparently going to be re-fitted with the same 65 / 90nm CPU / GPU combo as Falcon, but the mobo design will be called the Opus that will fit the original Xbox case molds.
So does this mean no HDMI since the pre-Falcon cases did not have the openings, Microsoft are apparently on sending these out as warranty replacements, the best thing of all and we mean the real deal happens to be Valhalla, Valhalla is supposed to be the final rev of the Xbox 360 that will integrate the GPU and CPU into a single super chip.
Ok we know the details on this are a little slim but we will let you know what we have found via the source below. Valhalla apparently is not the name of the motherboard but in fact is the name of the new combo CPU/GPU 65 nm super chip and the source below calls it the “Valhalla Xbox 360”.
They have also said that NeoGAF user points out that “Less power = less heat = less need for the 360 system fan to be running at max speed.” Which means less chance of cooking the memory, the board and other stuff?
